The Survey asks if any two can marry from here on in
It does not change My marriage But it would make my heart sing
To change the horrid wording in the current legal vows
Would be so much more poetic than what it now allows
With a marriage certificate you can travel and you can medically decide
Without one you have limitation and may be pushed aside
A civil union you can have and sure it gives the legal right
But it will always be a second-tier and you’ll still have to fight
Marriage is no guarantee that love will last
But that is not a factor in the ‘vote’ that you can cast
The question is a simple one but the answer seems complex
To those who can not fathom love of the same sex
But love is love and fair is fair, and to beat the sad disparage
Mark the Yes and let love win with equal marriage
