We Gazed in Wonder

We gazed in wonder at the moon

Me and my little brood.

An orange orb rising in a clear, darkening sky.

We gazed in wonder at the frog.

Sheltered near the pond.

A tiny creature with a big voice.

We gazed in wonder at the leaf

That the insect had eaten.

Veins and stem all that remained.

We gazed in wonder at the frost

Crystalised upon the steps

Cold, fleeting and slippery.

We gazed in wonder at The House

Where our future unfolds

Cold, fleeting and slippery

We gazed in wonder at The House

in search of substance

Veins and stem all that remained.

We gazed in wonder at The Activist

Protesting on The Lawn

A tiny creature with a big voice.

We gazed in Wonder and with Hope

Me and my little brood.

An orange orb rising in a clear, darkening sky.
