The Game of Birth

Tabletop Kits can also be purchased from Core and Floor Restore (includes a copy of the book)

A Birth Map a powerful document that works like a ‘choose your own adventure’, where the birthing woman is the author.  It benefits women, their partners and the Care Provider.
Knowing what to ask and being able to ask well in advance means having the freedom to explore the options. Understanding the various pathways and how they intertwine means the power to make Informed Decisions.

This game can be used to demonstrate the aspects of birth we can not control, and those we can. It lays out the pathways and decision points, making it easy to visualise the concept.

The tabletop game is printed on a 100% cotton tea towel, and comes with three playing stones, a 20D (dice) and the game instructions (travel guide). Ideal for personal use or for use with clients. Can be used in small groups, with up to three players/couples.

The Mega Game is 1.5m x 1.2m fabric, and comes with three playing stones, a large dice and the game instructions (travel guide).  Ideal for childbirth education classes (preparing parents), and undergraduate education (preparing future care providers).

Books can be purchased separately

This game helps us to consider different hypothetical scenarios and build an understanding of possibilities.  It is a communication and decision making aid, and an educational tool.  Designed to introduce the concept, before using the book to build a personal map to aid in navigating birth.
